BARRY BROGAN- ORLANDO
brogan29@att.net
Barry
Brogan plays the twenties and thirties pieces that have been played in dance
halls and front porches, and a few juke joint jazz bands for decades. Barry
presents an American musical history with six, twelve-string, and slide
guitars in an award-winning complex fingerstyle, with an ease of movement
that makes the instrument seem effortless. Vocals are added when
appropriate. Favorite artists include Bessie Smith, Clarence Williams,
Jimmie Rodgers, Fats Waller, Arthur (Blind) Blake and Robert Johnson.
Modern composers include John Fahey, Jorma Kaukonen, maybe even Harvey Reid
& Mike Dowling. You will hear barroom rag, blue blues, and ballads and
melodies that each generation re-discovers as its own private treasure

It loves my music, and loves studio work.Martin D-35, 1972. Now it’s broken
in. There are a few pieces which should be played only on a Martin
Dreadnaught.Maricopa Custom. Built as specified with bell brass and German
silver, a custom TriCone modeled on a 1928 National. Sings as sweetly as a
summer breeze, mournful as an old country churchyard.Alvarez Silver
Anniversary 12-string. Actually, I use it more than the Martin 12-string.
It came from a silent auction charity bid (oops…), but with some work and
setup, its voice came out, and gets better every year.

Exempt has just been un-leashed to the world.
This is the cry of freedom. This is the cry of truth, This is the cry of the
underbelly of society, and the voice that hides inside us all.
Evan exempt –why are you crying? Has not fallen on deaf ears………..
We can only hope that his questions are not answered for a long time to
come.
For if even a faint echo of an answer is heard or understood - that all
important issue of acceptance will cause this fragile monster of a new
talent to disappear and his next return may not be so nice…….for to
understand the misunderstood, a DEATH occurs.
A death of creativity, a death of originality, and a death of raw talent.

only a student, I have shown at venues such as The Orlando Museum of Art and
The Boyd Gallery. I am currently one of the artists showing bi-monthly at

NUDE BANDIT- ORLANDO
www.nudebandit.com
nudebandit@mail.com
The Nude
Bandit started writing short stories at the age of 10 primarily in the
horror genre. At the age of 14 he discovered the intellectual caffeine of
bohemian coffee houses. It was here that the inspirational discovery of Bob
Dylan, Rimbaud, Baudelaire, Kerouac, Kant and Taoism transformed the Nude
Bandit’s consciousness. Between filterless schmoo-snick gitane's and hours
of non-stop coffee bistro binging, he penned about 20 notebooks of poetry
and short stories which were all later stolen in a hotel room on Lee Road.
Since then, he has written three fictional novels, “Hopeless Romantics Vol.
I: Unrequited Love”“Hopeless Romantics Vol. II: Restless
Hearts”“Captured Mind” Both of the Hopeless Romantics novels are in the
genre of Paranormal Romance written in a literary prose style. “Captured
Mind” is literary fiction. He currently is the host of an Orlando Poetry
Open Mic on Wednesdays evenings at Austin's Coffee and Film. Sign up begins
at 8:30 pm and the event ends at 11 p.m. A free poetry contest is also held
every Wednesday during the “Naked Words” open mic. Feel free to join the
poetry gathering every Wednesday.

NEYSA – ORLANDO
"I paint
to get away from everyday life. There's nothing better than to be far away
from all the stresses this world has to throw at you. No worries... just
sweet relaxation. I create so that people can share in what I dream.
Painting is my therapy. Many times, when you're worried or someone has
wronged you, you don't know how to deal with the stress & rage built up
inside....I paint so that I won't have to say anything verbally....I can
show the world my struggles, my pain and my sorrow.......but in a beautiful
way. I take all the horrible situations in my life and turn them into
incredible works of art....I was born and raised in Florida and graduated
from UCF with a B.A. in Art and have been working for an international
publications company as a graphic designer for the past 3yrs."

NYAHZUL-
ORLANDO
nyahzul@gmail.com
As an
artist, I am primarily interested in emotions and moments, particularly real
events that take place
in our everyday lifes. My interest in expressing
emotions through art proceeds from my personal life and memories I
have as a child and the longing for that past, that I believed would be my
present. I am interested in creating work that explores a time and
moment whether it be in a dream or a real event, a place for the
audience to reflect on how each impact on their lives. I work along fault
lines and exposing self-contradictory moments, and the moments of
compromised enjoyment. I am fascinated by momentary emotions. I am
intrigued by the variety, complexity, beauty and seduction of feelings,
whether it's sadness and happiness, pain or peace... Romance is as
important to me as pain. I try to create in my work a space that can pick up
on a moment of beauty or not, and enjoy the wonder of that without denying
its flaws and fallacies. My work is about life and people and the
behind the mask. I find my inspiration in my dreams which are the
reflections of my everyday emotions or in something I read, specially
crime scenes and news reports. I am vulnerable and intense, I am
Nyahzul, I am art, and my paintings are an extension of myself.

RHOADE /
SCOTT BOGGS - ORLANDO
captainrealestate@juno.com
My
Friends,;Rhoade is a happily washed-up San Francisco veteran of the
awesome 1980's-1990's Cafe Babar scene. He also flopped in multilevel
marketing, commodity trading, and post-graduate education at a couple of
upscale universities. Once, he was fired from a college theatrical
role...that of Walter Mitty in "The Battle Between the Sexes"! Since then he
has been attempting to avoid living in the past too much by helping Orange
County disabled kids as an ESE aide and as volunteer consultant for the
Henry Nehrling Society, keepers of the Nehrling legacy in Gotha, Florida.
Nehrling formed Palm Cottage Gardens in 1894, and was a true spiritual
leader in early Orange County, as well as a great environmentalist thinker.
Ol' Henry corresponded with botanists abroad and was the main southeastern
plant agent for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Bird expert from
Galveston to Cape May to Ontario, vertebral zoologist, botanist
extraordinaire, advocate of bilingual education, musician, poet,
transcendentalist visionary, and Orange County's first big time "theme park"
owner (wealthy celebrities and politicians would take the train from up
north to see his tropical wonders) are some reasons that ;Rhoade is one of
Ol' Henry's biggest fans. And Ol' Henry did most of it all for free or at
a financial loss (frozen out in the winter of 1916 and robbed of most of his
plants by the late 1920's, Henry Nehrling died broke in Gotha in
1926);Rhoade organized a small art and poetry gathering in July 2005 out at
Palm Cottage Garden and will hold Bamboo Fest II at Urban Think Bookstore,
Thornton Park, on September 16, starting at noon and going on hopefully for
decades thenceforth. Bamboo Fest II will include some of ;Rhoade's favorite
artists, poets, musicians, urban planners, landscape architects and
horticulturalists, health care administrators and holistic medicine experts,
and others whom ;Rhoade knows will bring the Central Florida Green Living
experience closer to fruition (get it, fruits and nuts? But we great
thinkers have always gotten everywhere that mattered first, before the
straight-laced souls!Thank
you, and see you either at Bamboo Fest II or out at the Gardens! ;Rhoade

Tony got to Orlando via his home town of New York City, and his adopted
home town of Portland, Oregon….with a bizarre, but brief stint in
Okeechobee, FL. Many will recognize him as the bass-playing side-man/session-man
performing, and recording with The Rackets, Loligo, Luke Bailey and his
Ukulele, Jerry Mincey, and Benjamin DeHart, among others. If you ask him,
Tony’ll say he’s a folkie, but if you listen to him play, there’s more to it
than that. In late 2004 Tony released his solo debut Procrustean
Procrastinator through Beef Stewdios (www.beefstewdios.com).
